Our Services

1

Swedish

Swedish massage is designed to relax the entire body by massaging the muscles using long, gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart.  It can help increase the level of oxygen in the blood and improve circulation and flexibility.  This technique calms the nervous system, reducing anxiety and tension in the body. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish massage can be both relaxing and energizing.

Cupping

Cupping stimulates local circulation of qi and blood flow in the treated area by drawing an area of skin into a suction that decompresses muscles and connective tissue.  This promotes blood flow to the compromised area, enhances circulation and helps to increase the body's own healing process. By drawing impurities to the surface, it helps remove toxins. From a western physiology perspective, cupping loosens fascia and stimulates blood flow to the surface by using suction rather than pressure.  This is a great addition to your massage helping to relieve muscle tension, promote cell repair, and aid in other regeneration. Please read through the cupping form found on the website in order to ensure there's no contraindications prior to scheduling.

2

Neuromuscular Therapy

A style of massage therapy focusing on results by achieving a structural change or therapeutic benefit in the body.  It is a style of treatment where the therapist mobilizes your soft tissue (muscles, tendons, fascia, etc.) to help restore normal functional use.  This therapy may involve various techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, positional release and stretching.

5

Prenatal

A therapeutic massage that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy.  This massage enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and relieves mental and physical fatigue. This massage is preformed either sideline using a body pillow or lying face down with a pillow specifically designed for pregnancy.  Your therapist will help decide positioning to ensure the safety and comfort for both mother and baby.

3

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage is a technique using a firmer, deeper pressure than Swedish massage.  The therapist uses sustained pressure with slow, precise strokes to target the deeper layers of muscle, tissue and fascia, which is the connective tissue surrounding your muscles.  Deep tissue massage helps to treat muscle pain, contraction & spasm while improving stiffness and increasing circulation.  Your therapist may also incorporate some myofascial techniques, trigger point therapy and stretching to help achieve maximum benefit.  Deep tissue massage is intended to be relaxing with proper communication between the therapist and client regarding the amount of pressure applied.
